Glyn began training as a psychiatric nurse in 1992 despite loving horticulture and acting (he’s a very good singer too). But something about the mind, the brain and working with people very closely drew him to a career in mental health. During this, he fell in love with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and eventually went all in for this methodology and eventually met Dr. Rick Norris.
After much pestering, Dr. Rick agreed to let Glyn do a Victor Kiam: Glyn loved the Rick Norris way so much, he bought the company.
By now Glyn was also a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist but remained registered as a nurse (still does).
But is he happy? Well Glyn describes his work mix of clinical work, teaching, speaking engagements, writing and advising companies on how to reduce stress and increase productivity as the perfect job for him. And he does it all with an endless smile.
He is married to Fran and has three sons; William, Zak and Josh.
His great loves are Wolverhampton Wanderers, outdoor pursuits, reading and quizzes.
